I had an Oscar as well. My good boy, Rottie. He went to doggie heaven this past summer. He was almost ten years old. It still makes me cry just to think about him. There were patches of frost on the grass, here and there. They said the low was 33. Too chilly for me, brrr! But now it's very nice, sunny and 62, and warming up over the weekend.

Yes, we're in the hills here, Karen, and I love it. Thank you kindly for coming by. I bet it was cold up your way thing morning. I bet there was a big frost too. We had a light frost here this morning when I took the girls to school. Had to wait for the windshield to clear off. Your country road looks so beautiful with all those leaves. Our country roads around here are plain flat with cotton and bean and corn fields around them. I hope you have a great weekend my friend. Later in the day, there is a bit more traffic.

Must be exciting to see moose. I don't have to even drive to see deer and wild turkey. They call my woods and field home.

Accumulating snow already? Wow!

Oh, we won't get any snow yet until December/January, and even then, it's usually on the lighter side and doesn't stick around for long, thank goodness. But there are exceptions, at times.

Thanks for visiting, Philip.

RenieRenie Burghardthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02660484248593903002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7128708840799747320.post-5518120468585078622007-11-02T07:48:00.000-05:002007-11-02T07:48:00.000-05:00Lots of lovely drives for those who care to got of...Lots of lovely drives for those who care to got off the paved roads. Yours is lovely. I like the fact that at some times of day I can drive 20 plus miles to a nearby town and not see another vehicle in either direction. I always hoping to see a deer, moose or bear and I am seldom disappointed.

Our leave are all fallen and I read we may get accumulating snow next week.Tossing Pebbles in the Streamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04354065895900279070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7128708840799747320.post-59813290726441622572007-11-02T05:03:00.000-05:002007-11-02T05:03:00.000-05:00Dear Merle,I try to stay away from too many sweets...Dear Merle,

I try to stay away from too many sweets, myself. Once you know how, you never forget? Maybe you are right. Actually, for me, driving 50 miles to a larger town is like freeway driving. Not quite like it used to be in a big city, but it is a four lane highway. I usually have a copilot though, when I drive there. lol.

I rate your blog about diabetes A+ Mary.

Thank you so much for commenting on my photo. I recall the first time we drove through Georgia in the late 60s, and saw the red soil. It made quite an impression on us. The soil around here is karst. Very rocky. The trees are predominently oaks and hickories, and with some mixture of other tree species, of course, and our main crop is grass!

Thank you for the nice compliment on the picture.
