Easter Blessings!

The Miracles of Easter

The sleeping earth awakens,
The robins start to sing,
The flowers open wide their eyes
To tell us it is spring.
The bleakness of the winter
Is melted by the sun,
The tree that looked so stark and dead
Becomes a living one.
These miracles of Easter
Wrought with diving perfection,
Are the blessed reassurance
Of our Saviour's Resurrection.
Helen Steiner Rice ~

Happy Easter, everyone!

Dear Renie ~~ Lovely poem. Helen Steiner Rice writes some great verses
The pictures look as though Spring is bursting out all over. I hope you have a lovely Easter with your son and grand-daughter. I am looking forward to my trip and seeing my cousins. We have become closer as we get older. Glad you enjoyed the joked. I was amused by the pilot who spoke "blonde." Take care, dear friend, Love, Merle.

We have nothing that looks like Spring here yet, except for the fact, today the sun is shining, sky is blue and it just makes you feel good all over. But it's still chilly, 34 right now at 10am.

Loved the poem, Helen Steiner Rice has some lovely poems. Happy Spring to you.

Is your dogwood starting to bloom?

Good Morning Ms. Renie,
"HAPPY SPRING"!!!! You have done a beautiful and lovely post for today. I do hope you are okay up your way. I have seen on t.v. about all the flooding up in your area and I do hope it hasn't gotten close to where you are. It hasn't flooded here where we live at. I have't been out of town this week to see the St. Francis River, but I hear it's flooding as well. I did do a post early this morning. Since the girls have been out of School this week for Spring Break, I haven't been setting my alarm. I've been staying up late at night and sleeping late during the day. LOL. I hope you have a wonderful Easter. Are any of your kids coming home for Easter? Since my DH will be leaving out early on Sunday, me and the girls may go to my Mom's to eat dinner on Sunday. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Beautiful poem and post, Renie. The pics are lovely. I wish you a Happy Easter!

It looks like your yard is breathing new life - except for the daffodils, mine is still dead and grey. Even at Heritage Park, there was nothing blooming except a small patch of purple flowers near the mill.

Surely next week the warmth will liven everything up..:)

Renie,

These lovely pictures at once relieved my mind of the worry I had when I heard of the floods in your state.

What beautiful photos you have used to illustrate this beautiful poem! :-)

Drea,

No, the dogwoods are not blooming yet. Easter is early this year. They usually bloom the second week of April or so.

Well, Ohio is a bit behind us with the seasons. After all, you just had snow again the other day! :-) But maybe soon. I hope so, sweetie.

Hi Karen!

Good to see you again, my friend. I'm glad you enjoyed my Easter post.

Our town here, which is 10 miles away, did get flooded. I called the police this morning and asked about the bridge over the river, that I have to cross, and they said it was not closed. So I went to town, but had to stay on the North End! The Current River is mighty high now. The water comes up just under the bridge. It was something else to see. I have seen a couple of floods in this area over the 23 years since I've been here, but I have never seen the river that high! And the roads into the heart of town are all closed because of the flooding. My son Greg is coming tomorrow to go to check on our cabin on the river, which is in Randolph County, about 15 miles from me. He will go on the 4-wheeler. I am afraid to drive there now myself. We're hoping the cabin didn't get flooded, since it's up on a hill, but there is a chance that it did. We'll see tomorrow.

Thank you for coming by, dear Karen. I will come and check your posting in a bit. Have a happy and blessed Easter with your family.

Love and Hugs,

Renie

Hi Patty,

Well, the sunshine is nice too, isn't it? Spring will get to Ohio soon. We get an early Spring, but we also get much hotter summers than you do.

Thank you for coming by, my friend. Happy Spring! Happy Easter!

Hi Deborah,

Well, I'm surprised you don't have more blooming. You are much further South, than I am. My tulips are up and almost blooming as well, and the Fire Bush will be blooming in the next few days. Things are progressing beautifully, and I'm happy about it!

Thank you for the nice comment, Deborah. Happy Easter to you and yours!

Good Morning Ms. Renie,
I just wanted to drop by and wish you a "HAPPY EASTER" and to remember that "HE IS RISEN"!!!! I'm sure you have Family there with you today and I hope you enjoy your time with them. I also hope that the waters are receding near you. My DH and his Uncle left out this morning going up thru that way. My DH said someone told him Saturday that US Hwy. 63 was open up thru Hardy now. I did do a post for today. Me and the girls don't have any plans for today. I think they may go to Church, but I'm not feeling too good, so I'm going to stay home. Take care my friend and have a great Easter. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.
P.S. How is your friend, Eileen doing since she hurt her arm?

Hi Renie! How are you? I got your invitation to become your friend at Facebook. Well I am already your friend, but I am no longer doing facebook. At this moment blogspot is enough for me, for I am very tired and I had a complicated year behind me and it's still not solved. But it will be okay in a few months, I hope.

Hi Renie, how are you? Are you in good health? Is everything okay? This morning I was reminded of you by Facebook with the request to accept you as a friend. Well of course I will accept you as a friend, only I am not on Facebook anymore. I even don't know my password anymore. I only do Blogger. I had a very tiring winter with a lot of problems, but a good thing was that my daughter from Australia was here with the family. I enjoyed every minute of it. Hugs, Renie! Wil.

Good Morning Ms. Renie. Thought I would take a break from my FB games and maybe try blogging on Sunday's. I'm out visiting some of my favorite blogs right now. I did make a new post this morning. Hope you are enjoying the cooler temperatures. I know I am. We finally got some much needed rain this past week as well. We even had tornado warnings for us on Thursday night. They sounded the sirens here. We headed out to the School's Storm Shelter and on the way, hubby and the girls did see a tornado rotating in a field. It was really scary but it never touched down here. Take care my friend and have a great Sunday.

Love ya my dear friend.

Sure would like to see some pictures. Take care my dear friend and have a great Sunday and coming week. GOD Bless you.
