A Little Snow, A Lot of Fog!

We woke up to a little snow/sleet mix, and a lot of fog! The snow was crunchy under my feet. My driveway was just about the only place where it showed. Since it has been our only winter precipitation this winter, I thought I'd better take a picture of it. LOL. However, Mother Nature is giving us another chance Friday night. But we'll be in the 50s by Sunday. I don't know about you, but I'm hoping for an early spring!

Good Afternoon Ms. Renie,
Oh my goodness, I am so jealous of your Snow. LOL. Why couldn't we get just that much here? I guess I live too far South huh? LOL. That is a beautiful picture if it is only a little Snow. It looks really good with the fog. "THANK YOU" for sharing your Snow with us. I guess that's as close to Snow as I'm going to get this Winter. LOL. I heard we might, and MIGHT being the big word it is, get some stuff Friday as well. BRING IT ON!!!! LOL. Take care my friend and have a great afternoon. May God Bless You and Yours. I'm fixing to go start making some Homemade Soup for our supper tonight.

Love & Hugs,

I'm with you, early Spring that last until July before it gets too hot. I love Spring when everything is turning green and the flowers are all blooming. But some years it seems like we have about two weeks of Spring and then it's HOT, I like for Spring to last a little longer.

Hi Karen

Just came back from visiting you. And guess what? All that pretty snow in my driveway is gone again! LOL. Good thing I took a picture of it. And if Friday night brings more precipitation, I hope it brings it to your neck of the woods. LOL. You can have our share, too. Thank you for coming by.

Going to be another frigid night. Stay warm!

Hi Patty,

Oh, but you know something? Right about now, even the heat of July sounds good to me. Of course, when July gets here, I'll be complaining about it, but today, I would love to be warm!

But you are right, spring is much too short, and always very beautiful!

Thanks so much for coming by. Have a great night.

Hi Renie,
I found your blog tonight and I've been reading for hours! I'm almost blind now from eye strain! I am just amazed by you and your wonderful life stories. Fascinating! I have several Hungarian friends, most of whom have gone back home now.
I will definitely be back here to read more tomorrow.
Thank you for sharing your life.

Good Morning Ms. Renie,
I'm late for our coffee this morning. I over slept. LOL. My DH got in around 1:00a.m. and I stayed up and visited with him a bit and then when my alarm went off at 4:30a.m., I shut it back off and I just happen to wake up around 6:00a.m. Anyway, it is another cold morning here. It is 21 degrees as I type this. They say the high tomorrow is only going to be around 29 degrees with some more freezing rain for Friday. I doubt we will get anything but some more cold rain. Take care my friend and have a great day. "THANK YOU" for the coffee. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Please come back and visit again. I have already checked out your very nice blog and plan to go back and read more.

Dear Laura,

It's always nice to hear from you! I am not too fond of snow either, and am willing to let Karen have all our share of snow, too. LOL. We had such a minute amount though, that I thought a picture of it would be funny. And the cold temperatures really have me down already. We need a break! We may get it, too, starting Saturday. Oh, I hope so!

Hope it's warmer in your neck of the woods. Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful evening!

So good to see you. I was worried about you, and prayed that you would be at peace.

This cold makes one feel like hibernating, doesn't it? I'm glad your kids came to help you clean off the van, so you could get out and visit with them. I'm sure that helped you a lot during this sad time in your life.

Thank you for stopping by. Take care, my friend, and may our Lord comfort you in your sorrow.

By the way, Renie, I've bestowed an award on you tonight...come see what it is.

Good Morning Ms. Renie,
I am here with my coffee this morning. I hope you have yours as well. It is cold this morning. It is currently 27 degrees. They said the high is only going to be around 30 degrees today. I think they have even taken the chance for freezing rain out of the forecast for Friday. They have either taken it out or lowered the chances for it. I heard them talking about it on the KAIT8 Weather last night. I have been awake all night. After supper last night, I was wanting some coffee so bad. I fixed me a pot. It has kept me awake all night. I just finished making a fresh pot. LOL. I will probably be wired all day huh? LOL. Hopefully after I get the girls off to School, I will be able to get me a nap. The coffee that we use is Folders 1/2 the Caffeine. I may have to just buy some plain decaf for nights I want some coffee. Take care my friend and have a great day. Stay warm also. May God Bless You and Yours. I posted the recipe for my Homemade Vegetable Beef Soup this morning. It sure tasted good last night.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.
P.S. "THANK YOU" for having coffee with me. I always enjoy our coffee time together.

Renie Burghardt said...

Hi there, Grandy,

Well, gee, thank you for the award. I'll give it a try in a couple of days, OK?

Well, weatherwise, hope the rains give you all a little break.

Thanks a bunch for stopping by. Keep your umbrella handy!

Good morning, Karen,

I'm late this morning! But I am enjoying my second cup of coffee already. Maybe you can go back to bed after the girls go to school, and get a few more zzzz's.

I don't think it got as cold as they said it would, and they are downplaying the freezing rain for Friday night, so that's good news. Monday, we'll be in the low 60s! Can you believe it? I'll have to find my shorts for that! LOL.

Thanks so much for stopping by. You are always so cheering and cheerful. A good way to start the morning. Have a great Thursday!

Renie,

A cute picture, I like fog pictures..:)

An early spring would be nice but right now I'm just enjoying all the moisture (rain)! But now is a good time to start planning that garden - probably next week I'm going to go ahead and order a few scruppernong vines and get my tomatoe plants started (by seed).

I've been gone a few days, you should know how I am by now, every now and then I have to hit the off button. lol

Mom should be able to travel by next week, and then I've got some things planned to blog about in Atlanta.

Have a good day!

Yes, yes, on the early spring. We haven't had much winter, but I love warm weather!! We have the fog and gray skies but no snow.

Renie Burghardt said...

Hey Deborah,

Well, both the snow and fog were gone by that afternoon, so it's a good thing I took a picture of them. LOL.

I'm glad you're getting rain. I'm sure you're all happy with it, after the long dry period. And I suppose if you're planning to have your own tomato plants, it's time to plant the seeds. I haven't even thought of the garden yet. And I know you're looking forward to growing those grapes. I have Concord grapes here, that both I and the resident opossums enjoy. LOL.

How exciting that you and your Mom will be visiting the big city! I'd love to go to New York City for a few days, and Eileen says she'd show me the town. LOL. Maybe one day soon.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Enjoy the rains and have a good night.

Dear Merle,

Yes, I am managing to stay warm, for the most part. But there are always some chores to do outdoors, when I do get just a tad cold! LOL. The weatherman promises a big warm-up by the weekend, and I can't wait. I hope your weather has continued on the more pleasant side, dear Merle.

Thank you for coming by. I always enjoy hearing from you.

Hey Ann,

Well, our snow here wasn't much, but at least it made my driveway look pristine. LOL.

I like warm weather, not real hot weather, but I'll take the hot over the cold any day. You're lucky that you haven't had much winter. It's been mighty cold here. Tonight is our last arctic blast for a while, and our low will be 11F with a wind-chill in the single digits. Aren't you glad you're more to the south of us?

Thanks for coming by. Have a nice evening.

Good Morning Ms. Renie,
Burrrr, it is bitterly cold this morning. I know our coffee will really taste good this morning. It is 19 degrees with a windchill of 6 degrees here. According to the radar on my Sidebar, there is some Snow in the air. I do wish we could get just a light dusting so I can take a few pictures. Keep your fingers crossed for me. LOL. Hope you are staying warm up in your area. I know it has to be a tad bit colder up there. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours. "THANKS" for the coffee. I always enjoy it when I come to visit.

Love & Hugs,

Goog morning, Karen,

Yes, bitterly cold this morning. I just came inside after feeding all the waiting birds. I'm so glad the house is toasty and warm. I don't know how all the poor animals survive this cold, but I guess the good Lord has made it possible for them to survive.

Coffee is delicious after being outside, and it's my second cup of the morning.

Thank you for stopping by, my friend. Stay snug and warm, and hope that dusting of snow happens for you. We already had our dusting, so I don't want anymore.

God bless you as well.

Warm Hugs,

Renie

Hi Renie,
Couple of questions...how is your name pronounced? Did you have cornbread in Hungary?? :) My Hungarian friends always thought we were crazy because we eat so much cornbread. One of my friends, Laslo, was so amazed when I told him we ate fried squirrell when I was growing up! Then he asked me if we ate cornbread with it!! LOL

Just curious...

Hugs,
Hope

Renie Burghardt said...

Hi Hope!

First, my name... well, it's pronounced sort of like Rainy, without the y sound in it. LOL. It's actually a nickname I was given way back in the fifties when I came to the US. And, my last name sounds German, which it is, of course. My maiden name was Szilak (See-lock) and I when I write stories set in Hungary, my byline is usually Renie Szilak Burghardt, to clarify my Hungarian heritage. Hope this is not more confusing than clear. LOL.

We did not eat cornbread in Hungary, but we did eat beans! However, I've been a proud American for many years now, and cornbread became a favorite many years ago.

Laszlo isn't the only one amazed at eating fried squirrel! LOL.

Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting. Have a wonderful weekend.
