Sunshine and Ice!

The relentless bitter cold finally moved out, and the temperatures moderated today. The sun shone brightly, and we reached a balmy 43 degrees! I spent the better part of the afternoon outdoors, be bopping around in the field and woods.
The pond from the distance looked dark, even in the sunshine.

A closer look revealed a thick layer of ice, that finally started to melt around the edges by late afternoon.

My little shadow, Orie (Oreo) followed me around faithfully. She seemed to enjoy being outdoors as much as I did. The two dogs enjoyed it as well, but they took off for the woods, following the exciting scents that the woods provide.

I really enjoyed being outdoors today. Tomorrow, we're supposed to reach the upper fifties, but along with the warmer temperatures some rain is in the forecast for Monday night. I'll take it! Who cares if more snow is in the forecast later next week. I'm enjoying a taste of spring for now!

I hope it's warmer where you are as well.

Have a blessed week, everyone.

Good evening Renie,
We didn't get quite that warm here today, it did get up to about 32, right now at 7:45 pm it is still only 30. But compared to what we had been having this is nice. Tomorrow it should get up in the high 30's. Our one daughter and I plan on going to visit my Mother and have lunch together. You have a wonderful evening and a great tomorrow. Be careful out there be bopping around, make sure you have your cell phone with you.

Hi Patty,

I'm glad it wasn't as cold in your area today.

Yes, I take my phone along now, when I'm be bopping. LOL. I'm careful, too. I have to be. But I refuse to be afraid to do the things I love to do.

I'm sure you'll enjoy your visit and lunch with your Mom. Have your daughter take another picture of the two of you. She is so cute, and you look like sisters!

I'm going to lunch tomorrow as well, with some friends from church. It's a regular Sunday ritual for us.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a lovely Sunday, my friend.

Good Evening Ms. Renie,
I know, I'm way late in visiting tonight. It was another busy Saturday and next Saturday is looking to be busy as well. I may post tomorrow if not on Monday for sure. Well where were the warm temperatures? We didn't have any warm temperaatures today. They were predicting the high to be around 47 degrees but it only made it up to 33 degrees. It was a cloudy and gloomy day as well. In fact, when I first got up this morning, we were under a Freezing Rain Advisory. I looked at the radar, but didn't see anything on there. In my hometown, 12 miles from here, where my Parents and Sister live they had some black ice. We got nodda. You pond is beautiful. "THANK YOU" for sharing it with us. I'm glad you got to go out and enjoy the warm temperatures. Take care and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Hi Michele,

Oh, after that relentless cold, I was glad we finally had sunshine and some better temperatures. It wasn't real warm, but it was nice, and I couldn't resist some be bopping. LOL. I love the outdoors, and have been feeling like a prisoner in the past couple of weeks.

Thank you for stopping by and the nice comment. Have a lovely Sunday.

I'm surprised it was so much cooler in your area. I know Arkansas was under a freezing rain watch, and many parts got some. I'm glad you didn't. This morning, we have dense fog! That will complicate things a bit, until it dissipates around 10 AM.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a blessed Sunday, my friend.

Good Morning Ms. Renie,
Just dropping by to have our morning coffee. I just got back from taking the girls to School and it is quite chilly out there. We have some Frozen Fog on the trees and vehicles as well. We are under another Freezing Fog Advisory until 9:00a.m. Yesterday morning when I was talking to my DH, he said that when he went thru Hardy, he said it looked like an Ice Storm had hit there. The roads were okay, but the Frozen Fog was all over the trees. They got shut down this morning on the Western side of Wyoming. Interstate 80 is shut completely down. He said the roads were covered with Ice and Snow and it was Snowing so hard, blizzard conditions is what he said it was. So, if you don't mind, please keep my DH and his Uncle in your prayers. They are suppose to deliver that load in Salt Lake City, UT, at 8:00a.m. their time, which would be 9:00a.m. our time. I don't think they will be making it on time. They won't get in trouble over it, because this is something that can't be helped. They say it's suppose to get in the 50's today, but we will see. They said that for yesterday also, but it only made it up to 39 degrees and was cloudy and dreary most of the day. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Hi Karen!

Oh, sorry I missed you for coffee. I was gone for most of the day, and just now got online.

Well, we had a nice Sunday here. Sunny and mid-50s, and it was the same today, except it was cloudy. Rain coming in tonight. I'm surprised your area didn't warm up. But we did have the freezing fog early Sunday morning. The roads were fine, as I was driving to church, but the trees were covered with a shimmering frost. It looked so pretty and I was sorry I had not taken my camera along. But by mid-morning, it was all gone.

My goodness, hope your husband made it to his destination with no problem. I always feel sorry for truckers when there is ice and snow out there. They have to be on the job, in all kinds of weather. Have to come and see if he made it okay.

Thank you for stopping by, and sorry I missed your this morning. Hope your day was good, and tonight is even better!

Love and Hugs,

Today here is much different than it was on the 26th. It 14 degrees, windy and snowing. So windy there is a driving advisory. I did get out in it this morning ,but only because I had to. The snow and the wind are so bad at times we have white out conditions. Will spring ever get here.
Have a great day.

Just how cold does a well diggers HMMM get? LOL. It sounds mighty cold!

Thank you kindly for coming by. Snuggle up to Patty, and stay warm! :-)

I'm so glad you like the award. And it's perfect for you!

I have done a long post on the weather here yesterday. I'm glad you are okay as well. I think yall are under some kind of Winter Weather Advisory. Good morning, Karen,

Well, thank the Lord you and the girls are okay. And you were without power for 11 hours? Wow, I hope you were able to stay warm. We lost power here around 4 PM as well, but it came back on, 2 hours later. I heard from some friends in the area here, and they had a lot of damage from those winds. I have never seen such stron winds! And yes, we are now under a winterstorm watch for tomorrow. They say we may get up to 6 inches. But by the weekend, we will warm up again. It has been an unusual winter, that's for sure.

I have to scoot, as I'm heading to town to stock up just in case we get snowed in. And will have a snack and coffee first, with some friends. I'll be over later.

Stay warm, too, dear Karen. God bless you!

Good Morning Ms. Renie,
I am here for our coffee together this morning. Is it doing anything your way? I looked out the window a bit ago and all I see is rain here. I had my hopes up a bit yesterday when they put us under a Winter Storm Warning. Now, I have been disappointed again. I am just going to go crawl in the hole with Punxatoney Phil this Saturday. LOL. If you do get any Snow your way, be sure to take some pictures for me. Don't get out and fall tho. If it's too slick, just stay inside. Maybe you can take a picture from your window. I'll take that too. LOL. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours. "THANKS" for the coffee again this morning.

Good morning, Karen

Well, my weather radio is giving heavy snow warnings, which may start as freezing rain, but nothing is happening yet. I'm hoping to get out there before it starts, and fill the bird feeders. So, I will be doing that as soon as it gets light out. I think Poplar Bluff will get most of the precipitation. It sounds like it might.

If we get snow, I will be very careful out there, if we get freezing rain, I will stay indoors, for sure!

Thank you for stopping by. Coffee sure tastes good, doesn't it?

Have a great day, my friend. Hope a little snow does come your way. Just enough to make your day!
