Spring's Progression in My Neighborhood!

The wild plum trees are finally blooming! And I knew it before I saw them at the edge of the woods. Their heavenly fragrance reached my nose as soon as I went outside this morning. The wild plum is a small, deciduous tree, belonging to the Rosacea family. The redbud trees will be blooming soon, followed by the dogwoods. I love the progression of Spring!

Later, I took a little drive up my road to enjoy the scenerey I never tire of. The rolling fields are getting green now.

I love this old barn. It is still in good shape, structually.

Lots of pretty, rolling fields around here.

I hope you enjoyed some of the Spring scenery from my neighborhood. Have a wonderful week!

Hi Leann,

How nice that your little granddaughter will be staying with you tonight! I know you will enjoy her.

I hope your snow melts and Spring comes to stay in your area, soon.

Deborah,

Yes, the barn does have a tin roof. I love tin roofs as well. We have a nice tin roof on the cabin on the river. I must not have had a steady hand when I took the barn shot, for it's a little fuzzy.

Thanks so much for reading and commenting. I juts got home, and have some catching up to do.

Take care!

Nice photos, Renie! I love the greenery and the blooms on the wild plum tree look just heavenly! :0) The rustic barn is a vision of country paradise for sure.... There's nothing like strolling through the woods and seeing springtime popping up everywhere and gazing at green pastures and barns like you share here. Country livin' is the best, eh?

Great post as always. It's such a joy and so refreshing to stop by your blog, Renie. You're a genuinely awesome blogger!

Smiles,
Michele

Hi Michele,

Wow, well, thank you for that very sweet comment!

Spring time is the best, except when it storms and waterfalls fall from the sky! Sound familiar? :-)

Went by your neighborhood today, as I was taking some groceries to Eileen. Things are looking good! Hope all is going well.

Thank you for coming by. I appreciate it very much!

Always Fondly,

Renie,

You certainly picked a beautiful place in which to settle. I love seeing the photos of your area and it looks like spring is progressing nicely there. We still have some snow in places, but today was much warmer and it felt like spring. Brandon noticed on Sunday when we went to the sugar bush that the fragrance of spring was in the air.

Take care and thanks for sharing your beautiful neighborhood.

Blessings,
Mary

I've never smelled a wild plum blossom. I don't even know if we have them here but I will be checking it out.
I love your picture's Renie, especially the one of the barn. I have always had a special place in my heart for old barns and this one sitting all alone in the field is wonderful. I think of all the animal's that found shelter in them and even when they are no longer in use there are still mice and birds sheltering there. Oh the stories they could tell!

I love it when I get to have the great grandchildren for a while. I'm sure you enjoyed your time with your granddaughter very much. It's these little ones that keep us so young!

Thanks for posting these pictures and allowing us to share your wonderful walk.
God bless

Good Morning Ms. Renie,
I am here for coffee and see you have put up a new post. I did enjoy my trip with you in your part of the world. You do have some beautiful trees and the green rolling hills are just stunning. I have never smelled a Wild Plum Tree before, but I bet it does smell good. We got some more rain very early this morning and according to the radar, we should be getting some more anytime now. They say we may have some bad weather later this afternoon and into tonight. I sure hope not. I will be keeping an eye on it for sure. My DH will be home sometime today. I have been awake all night and I will go to bed after I take the girls to School this morning. Take care my friend and have a great day. Keep an eye on the weather and be safe. May God Bless You and Yours. Enjoyed the coffee as always.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Yes, we've had lots of rain again, and some thunderstorms as well, and may have more tonight. The rain is making everything nice and green, and the grass is growing and will need cutting soon!

Hope you've stayed a little drier.

Glad your DH made it out of Wyoming safely.

It's always nice to have you stop by for coffee. Hope the rest of your day has gone well.

You live in very pretty countryside. I bet you can smell the soil. Can you smell farmers spreading manure on the fields. We call that smell "farm fresh"

I love the yellow mustard colour.

Philip,

We don't have any farms around here. Traditional farms, that is. The land is too hilly and rocky. But many animals such as cattle and horses are raised here. And most of the area is still heavily forested.

Thanks for coming by. I hope you are doing well.

I live about 80 miles from Jonesboro.

Hi again Dear Renie ~~ Thank you for the comments on "Tell Someone They're Valued" It is sound advice for us all. The casserole was/is delicious. So glad you are having sunny weather as things seem brighter and happier in the sunshine. BTW a lorry is a truck. The pilot parachuting for help was not very helpful. Our weather is pleasant this weekend, and I hope yours is too. I also value your blog and friendship. Take care, Much Love, Merle.
