Awards, Woo Hoo's, Happy Weekend!

I am late acknowledging a couple of nice awards I received recently, so I am doing that now.

The Awesome Site Award was given to me by my young, lovely, sweet friend, Pia .
Isn't it cool? Thank you, Pia, I really appreciate you thinking of me.

And lovely Dawn passed this beauty along to me. Thank you, Dawn for thinking of me.

I would love to pass both of these beautiful awards on to all my friends on my Blog Roll. You are all awesome blogger's and wonderful bloggie friends!

My Woo Hoo is that I received my contributing writer copy of, Christmas Through A Child's Eyes, published by Adams Media, September 2008. Isn't it beautiful? I am thrilled to be included in this book. And the great news is that Paul Harvey has endorsed the book! Everyone is excited about that. (I am in another Christmas book as well, but that one hasn't arrived yet.)

This week has been pleasant and summery around here, which has encouraged the green tomatoes still on my vines, to ripen. The woods have become very dry though, as we haven't had rain since Ike blew through here, and there are "forest fire danger" bulletins out, which is always scary! (As if all the news about the economy isn't scary enough!) Have to get out there and do a rain dance again, and ask the Good Lord to send some rain our way soon!

Have a Happy Weekend, everyone.

Blessings from the woods!

Congrats on the awards and on the new book. I can imagine how wonderful it must be to see your writings published.

The flowers are beautiful. We've been having wind and rain the last two days. I'm ready to see the sunshine again.

Congratulations!!! on being published!!

I loved the picture of the wild flowers, very beautiful.

Weatherwise, it seems you go from one extreme to the other...I hope your rain dance works and doesn't scare all your wild animals away! ;)

Have a jumping, hopping and dancing week-end.

Second, for you new publication!! Such a wonderful honor!

While you are doing your rain dance, please send some of the vibes my way. We were promised rain today, however we have blue skies, but cooler temps. We have fire warnings out too.

Renie,

The Christmas book is beautiful - don't forget to post the other one when it arrives.

No rain here either - but I think that I will skip the rain dance - at least for the fall weekends!

It's very dry here and tonight the eastern part of the state is getting a little rain. We have a 30% chance of some of it reaching here. I sure hope it does!

Me again! I just wanted to thank you very much for the beef noodle soup idea. That sounds really good and I will definitely try it. Tonight I made a soup with ground beef that turned out very well. It's a whole new world, but so far, so good!

Have a great week, Renie! And thank you for your kind comments.

Renie congrats on the whoo hoo. I can not imagine your happiness. I would love to write for short stories but not sure how to start. starting point is all I need. My mind spins.
I so enjoy seeing all yoru photos, I miss that part of the country every time I see a beautiful photo of fall colors, or snow covered hills or deer in the pasture. We have them here but not as close as you are.
I finally got my computer to let me follow your blog.
