Pictures That Cheered This Nana Up!

I've been in a bit of a funk the last couple of days-sad and even depressed. So when my daughter sent me some pictures this morning, they cheered me up considerably. As it happens, my 11 year old granddaughter Hannah, who is in these pictures, was in a bit of a funk as well. Her big sister Nichole had left for college last week. This is the first time Nichole is no longer living at home, and Hannah misses her. So her Mom took her to the Farm Park, Wednesday, to help cheer her up.

It was a beautiful day with big, fluffy clouds, and cheerful looking sunflowers welcoming them to the Farm Park.

There are beautiful flower gardens at this Farm Park, and here is Hannah
wearing her Jonas Brothers (hope I spelled that right!) T-shirt, that she got at the live, Jonas Brothers concert she attended a couple of weeks ago. She is mighty proud of that T-shirt!

The beautiful flower gardens have paths through them, so one can get up close and personal with the beautiful flowers.

They also have a vegetable garden there, and it was potato digging time. Here is Hannah helping the farm ladies to gather the freshly dug potatoes. What a fun job that was!

Of course, there were lots of animals at the Farm Park, such as Llama's.

And calves. Here she is petting a little bull calf that is chowing down. Of course, many other animals reside at the Farm Park as well.

And here is Hannah with the draft horses that pulled the wagon she rode in. Nana is saving some of the other pictures for another time. But as you can see, Hannah enjoyed the Farm Park. It cheered her up considerably, as it did this Nana, who enjoyed the pictures.

All Nana's, also known as Grandma's, enjoy pictures of their grandchildren! :-)

Have a wonderful weekend, and a great week ahead, everyone.

Blessings from the woods!

I do have a couple of awards to acknowledge, and I will do that sometime next week.

Glad Hannah got cheered up and that in return made for some nice photos that cheered you up. Yes isn't it amazing how a few snapshots over the internet or their little voices on the phone can do that. Have a great week-end.

I'm sorry you've been feeling down! But what a great way to make you and Hannah feel better! Hannah is a beautiful girl! And yes, you spelled Jonas Brothers right. They are the new Beatles, it seems!!

Renie,
Those were great pictures she sent you and the farm looked like a great place to visit, for any age. Is Hannah the youngest of your grand children? I tend to get somewhat gloomy at this time of year, off and on. It always passes. So many great holidays coming up.
Hugs,
Brenda

Hi Renie,

Sorry to hear you are blue...I can see how the pictures perked you up. She is a cutie if I ever saw one. I love looking at anyone's grandchildren, I guess that comes with being a gramma...

Well, now what else can we prescribe for Nana to help cheer her up...let me see~~~~how about a "Dean Martin" marathon...

"Everybody loves somebody sometime..." come on let me hear you, sing LOUDER ;O "When the moon hits your eye like a big Pizza Pie, that's amore'" Just one more; "Powder Your Face With Sunshine, put on a great big smile... and Smile, Smile, Smile;)"

Have a smiling good time this week-end.

Your Hannah is a beautiful child. Her smile would cheer Oscar the Grouch!
The flowers are so pretty and I do love the draft horses.
My uncle had two that he used for logging and sleigh rides many years ago. Such huge yet gentle animals.
I hope you stay cheered up now Renie.

I'm sorry, Renie, you've been in a funk, they aren't fun, I know! But Grandkids have a way of making life sparkle again, don't they?!
Hannah is such a cutie pie! And sure looked like she was enjoying the Farm Park...too bad you couldn't have been there in person, you both could have kicked that 'funk' right out the window together!
Hope you are doing better now, and the rest of your weekend shines some warmth on you!

Whether it's Grammie, Nana, Mimi, Meme' or Grandma we all love pictures of our grand kids and they do cheered us up don't they? Those were wonderful pictures, what a lovely time at the farm. The only thing that would have made it better is if you could have been there with her! :o)

Dear Renie ~~ I am so sorry you were feeling down and I sure can see how these photos cheered you up. Hannah is just so lovely and had a great day which cheered her up. I hope her sister Nicole does well at college. I hope she isn't too homesick herself. Thanks for your messages and I am glad you enjoyed the Grocery List and the Heaven stories and the jokes. I hope your power stayed on as the dark can be scary. I have a small Lantern (battery operated) and lots of candles and torches of various sizes for those
times. So I hope you have some of these
Renie. We don't have many outages and no hurricanes. It is very, very windy today. Take great care, dear friend.
Much Love, Merle.

So sweet and nice what a great way to add a bit of cheer in your life.

Sorry I been busy getting work some done, and been tired by the time I get finished to even go beyond my blogging posts.

Hope you are feeling a bit more cheery now.

Dear Renie, yes Ike went through here, knocked over our cherry tree that was starting to die, but this summer still had the whole center that was green and covered with cherries the birds ate, since they were up too high for us to reach.

We got our power back the same day, but across the street, they are still without, and also our one daughter in Centerville doesn't have any power.

We worked some of Sunday, all most all day yesterday and I was able to finish it up this morning, picking up branches, twigs, sweeping and etc, then I mowed the yard and that mulched up all the straggly stuff and leaves. Took part of the metal roof off the library. Places are closed that don't have electric. I can't imagine what being in a hurricane must be like.

Glad you didn't lsoe your power or have much damage. Take care. Thanks for stopping by. Love, Patty P.S. Since I didn't have an email for you, sent the message this way.

Oh, Renie, I hate that you were down and depressed. I get that way, too. But I know how much the pocs of Hannah had to lift your spirits! She is a darling little cutie and I can just imagine how much she misses her sister. Bet her sister misses her, too! You are so fortunate to have grandchildren....I have none....yet! It would be so nice to have a couple to come and spend the weekend with me. I live alone like you, and it does get depressing at times. I really feel like I am in the 'Twilight Zone' when we get an ice storm and are iced in!!! That's when I feel the lonelies and get depressed really bad! DO hope you are feeling better now. One look at those dear pics of Hannah should make your world feel 'sunny' once again!

We didn't get anything from Ike here at all, thank goodness. Never know which direction it will head even after it makes landfall. The northern area of our country got it and here we in SC didn't get anything in the part of the state I live in. It's been a bad season for hurricanes this year.

Punky's tumor is about gone again!!! It keeps shrinking away more and more. She is eating on her own again now, too. Same for Scooter, the one with the heart condition. They both are doing so much better. I do believe my son plans to come and get them this weekend. Then they will be traveling cats once again....back to Florida. They love to ride and look out the car windows. He may get another 3-4 months out of them, but then it will be time to put them to sleep......hate to think of it, but they are living on borrowed time now. When we think of it, so are we, aren't we?

Cheer up, my friend! I am here if you ever want to email me. Email me your phone number sometime as I have free calls all over the U.S. and even overseas. Would be so nice to talk with you!!!

Love you, Renie!

And lots of (((((( HUGS ))))))

I'm sorry your were blue. But methinks the pics of Hannah helped cheer you up. You are so very special. I hope you are having a happy week.

BTW, we were in Amish country this week and saw some really beautiful draft horses harvesting corn. They are marvelous creatures.

I hope to post about our little adventure tomorrow.
