Weekend Wishes.

Our weather has turned cooler, but there is still lots of sunshine, although the leaves are drifting down, as you can see out the window, where my little dove is sitting. Of course, she can do this only when the cats are outside, and she does enjoy window sitting. I have had her since 1987, and am always thankful she is still doing so well. Isn't she sweet?

I did also receive a very nice award from Gramma Ann, which for some reason refuses to open, so I will have to work on that early next week. But I did want to thank Ann for thinking of me.

I am getting ready for company later this month, and am really looking forward to it. My daughter and granddaughters will be here Thanksgiving week, not only to celebrate Thanksgiving, but my birthday as well. I can hardly wait until they get here!!

I hope all is well with everyone. Thank you for reading. Have a wonderful weekend!

Blessings from the woods!

Hi Renie,

Your dove is a beauty. Is it a pet or just claims you as it's friend/pet?

I've fallen for your blog and always enjoy reading about your antics. You are deserving of the award.

Ann,

The dove is a ring necked dove and yes, it's a pet dove. A friend gave me two of therm in 1987. One of them did go to dove heaven three years ago, but Dovey is still thriving, thank goodness.

Happy weekend!

Renie

Sounds like you will definitely have a blessed Thanksgiving this year. Birthday, what day is that?
Happy week-end to you. It's cloudy and drab looking here this morning. And very chilly.

I just realized you said you've had the bird since 1987, that's quite a long time for a bird, isn't it?

Your dove is so pretty. I love the cooing sounds they make.
Your yard is carpeted with all the lovely colors of autumn. The leaves here are mostly brown now since we've had some very frosty mornings.
I sure understand you looking forward to having family come to visit. I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving because most of my family will gather for dinner and a time of family togetherness.
We are blessed.
God bless you Renie.

I love doves. What is the name of yours?
We get many of them here, in our backyard and they find their way into quite a few of my poems. One in particular you may enjoy is here:

Today, I have posted a Remembrance Day piece that I hope will touch my readers in some way.

Renie,

Your dove is so precious. What a wonderful pet.

What fun to have your granddaughter and daughter for your birthday celebration and Thanksgiving.

We are anxiously looking forward to going to Nevada to see our daughter and her husband. Wish it could be both girls, but that just isn't going to work out this time.
