Michele,

Thank you for your always encouraging and warm comments. As you know, these quickies are not that easy to write, for them to make good sense.

I enjoyed Werner's story as well. His family was fortunate to get out when they did.

Love and Hugs,

Renie

Renie,

If you are interested in the Canadian Census, I wrote a piece on in in my blog September 13. There are some interesting links here. Here is one http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/1101752621646_97161821

I have been divorced since 1975 when my wife left looking for something else in life. She left me with a 3 year old son to raise. Raising him has been my joy in life. I did morn the death of my marriage for 20 years, so unlike you I am not sure I have been happily divorced. I have passed on other opportunies over the years.

Renie,

I just read your article. It's another wonderful story of you and your family coming to America.

Yes, Werner was lucky he and his family got out - so many didn't. For a small child to wonder where his arm band was...

Deborah,

Thanks so much for reading and commenting both here and on Common Ties. You are right about the arm band, of course. Even as a small child he knew he had been marked.

Hi Renie ~~ Thank you for sharing the link to your Quickie story. It was great as was Werners. I am so glad that you are both safe in the US
after harving a hard start to your lives. Thank you for your comments -
glad you liked the Wisteria. The
Pimelea is new to me also. Pelargoniums are very similar to
Geraniums - same family. Take care,
my friend, Love, Merle.

Thank you very much for reading my little story on Common Ties.

You have such lovely flowers. I am glad to find out Pelargoniums are in the geranium family. They are lovely. Have a wonderful weekend, dear friend, Merle.
