This and That

After a beautiful, mild week of visiting, some family members are on their way home to Ohio today. We've had a wonderful time of eating, going places and just being together.

My favorite visitor has been my youngest granddaughter, McKenzie, who is 8 years old. Here she is smiling her bright smile for her Nana.

McKenzie especially enjoyed playing with the animals. Here she is above with my little mop, Midge, who loves to be hugged by McKenzie! Can't you tell by her expression? LOL.

Here is McKenzie trying to get Maya, my primadonna cat, to show some interest in the cat toy Mckenzie brought her. Maya is a very laid-back cat. LOL.

When it was time to go home, McKenzie promised she would be back this summer. I can't wait.

Now, it's time for this Nana to take a little nap. LOL.

Have a great weekend and week everyone!

Yes, getting to spend time with loved ones is such a blessing. And most of mine live many miles away. Thank you for the lovely comment. Of course, I agree with you about McKenzie, but then, I'm prejudiced! LOL.

Have a blessed weekend, dear Bev!

Renie,

I'm so glad your family was able to come for a visit. I know how much you enjoy them. I'm sure you are looking forward to McKenzie's visit this summer. The two of you will have a good time bonding, I'm sure.

I love your little dog. Is that the only dog you have now?

Take care, my friend. Be safe and enjoy your weekend.

Blessings,
Mary

Mary,

No, Midge isn't the my only dog, I have a larger German shepherd mix dog as well. Both of them were dumped puppies that I adopted.

I have enjoyed my family's visit this week, and am looking forward to their return in June.

Hi Barbara,

Well, believe it or not, dandelions are a good sign of Spring. Thank you for coming by and commenting. We have mild weather, but are having more torrential rains this morning!

McKenzie is such a cute little girl! I can just imagine how much you enjoyed her visit! Its raining here too, thunderstorms, lightning and all that! Its a dark, dreary day to stay in, but I'm heading to church. I plan on a nap myself this afternoon!

Hi Patti,

Well, I hate missing church, but that is what I am doing. Just too nasty out there for me to go. Thank you for the nice comment. Have a great Sunday!

Good Morning Ms. Renie,
I have missing in action for a few days and haven't done any posting or visiting. I have just been busy with Family as you have. I did do a post this morning tho. I'm so glad you had a wonderful time with your Family and McKenzie is just adorable. I know you are one proud Grandma. She looks like she really enjoys being around your pets. It has been raining pretty much all weekend here. My DH went up thru your area earlier this morning and he said it was thundering and lightening and raining really hard. It had done that here as well too. They say we could even see some more heavy rains. We sure don't need anymore heavy rains. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Beautiful grand daughter...I just love all your pictures. I do know what it's like. When my grand daughters go home....This old Meemaw need a long nap. I have twins they will be 13 this July... When they were small I use to say I loved seeing their smiling faces come in the door and a few days later I liked seeing their little bottoms go out the door. I love them dearly, but that's why we had our children when we were younger. Lets just say I've taken lots of naps in 13 yrs.

Hope you've had a blessed weekend.

Hi Karen,

Good to see you back in blogland! Yes, we had heavy rain and thunder and lightening, this morning, and I didn't go to church. I felt bad about it, too. This afternoon it cleared out some, and got very pleasant with mild 60s temps. But, tomorrow night, we are to get some more heavy rains and maybe even severe storms. I pray that they won't be too severe.

Thank you for visiting, dear Karen. I hope your Sunday has been nice.

Love and Hugs,

Renie

Hi Glo,

Haha, I know what you mean. Grandchildren are a blessing, but they can get a grandma tuckered out! We enjoy their coming and enjoy their going home as well. Haha.

Thank you for coming by. I've had a rainy Sunday for the most part, but it was a good day for catching a nice nap.

Have a wonderful week.

Hugs,

Hi Michele!

Good to see you online again. Just got home. I was over to check on Eileen and got her some groceries, so I passed by your place. Made it home before another deluge of rain!

Thank you for coming by. Isn't McKenzie a sweetie? Well, at least her Nana thinks she is. :-)

Have a nice day, and stay dry!

Always fondly,

Good Morning Ms. Renie,
I thought I would drop by and have a cup of coffee with you. I hope that yall didn't have any Tornadoes up your way yesterday. I did see where there were some Tornado warnings up that way late yesterday afternoon. It didn't start raining here till yesterday afternoon. We got alot more rain last night as well. There is more in the forecast for tomorrow night and on Thursday as well. It never got real bad around here last night. We were put under a Thunderstorm Warning once last night, but it never did anything around here except rain real hard and some thunder and lightening. My DH and his Uncle are still shut down in Wyoming. I've posted about it on my post for today. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours. "THANK YOU" for the cup of coffee and I enjoyed it as always.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Renie Burghardt said...

Dear Audrey,

I knew that's what you were doing with your post, having an April Fool joke. Hahaha. Happy April Fool's Day! Hahaha.

A friend called this morning, and I said, "Oh, my gosh, how do you all that snow out there?" and she said, "Snow? I haven't even looked out yet," then she realized it was a joke! That's the fun of April 1st, isn't it?

Enjoy the day, my friend.

Love,

Renie

Hi Karen,

We had sheets and sheets of rain last night. It looked like a waterfall coming from the sky! Unreal! Then we were under a tornado watch for a while, but it was cancelled by 8:30, thank the Lord. This morning, the sun is shining brightly. More rain Thursday, the forecast said. It's a wonder we haven't floated off somewhere!

Be over in a bit to read your post. Have a nice day.

Love and Hugs,

Renie
