Almost Wordless Wednesday

Fred, catching some zzz's.

Patiently waiting for a treat!

Can you guess what this critter is?

Sticking close behind Mama!

Glowing eyes outside my kitchen window!

And...

The newest Chicken Soup for the Soul has arrived, with my story in it! Yay!

I hope you're all doing well. Thank you for coming by.

Blessings from the woods!

The pictures on Wordless Wednesday are PRICELESS. I will be looking for the new book, I like the "Chicken Soup" books, I have four on my bookshelf now. I like having them around, they are so handy for when I want to read something just for a short period of time, instead of a regular book. Congrats on the new book are in store for you so:~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~ CONGRATULATIONS ~~~~~~~~~~~~
Is that a beaver? Is it Fred peering at you in the dark? I keep meaning to get Chicken Soup For The Soul and will make every effort this time so I can read what you wrote. I admire you so much.
Granny Annie, the glowing eyes belong to a coon! And no, the mystery critter is not a beaver. I'll see if anyone else can guess what it is. Thanks so much for the kind words.
I was going to guess a possum, and the eyes could be the raccoons. Great photos of the critters. I went to Borders on Saturday and they didn't have the copy of the book yet. I will try again next weekend. I still have the magazine that you had an article in and enjoyed the story.
Have a great week Renie!
Great pics - Fred looks like me on a rainy day - I can put out those zzz's real good!
Congratulations on the publication, Renie! I don't know what the mystery creature is, but I'll guess some kind of an anteater. That should show you just about how clueless I am.
I adore the picture of the squirrel on the railing.
Wonderful photos, Renee. Brava on on your story being published. I'll be sure to have a look.
Let's see, is the critter a nutria (sp?)
Oh, I loved all your pictures!!! That cat looks so comfy there and the squirrel too!! Gotta love those critters! Looks like a raccoon with the shining eyes. Is the one a groundhog..the mystery critter?
I'll bet that Chicken Soup for the soul is a good one. Yesterday at our Cargiver's Support group meeting they gave us a book, "Chicken Soup for the Caregiver's Soul." I thought that was so nice! I read some of it last night.
I'll have to check that one out to read your story!!
Those are great pictures. Is that one critter a warthog or..umm...what's it called...hedgehog? Some kind of wild pig/boar?
And congrats again on the publication :)
Hope your Chinese lunch was delicious. Congratulations on the book and your new story. I asked Abe to take a look at the mystery photo, I thought perhaps it was a ground hog, he said it looks like a wood chuck to him.
P.S. Now that's one relaxed cat. LOL
Was that animal a woodchuck? I couldn't really tell. Great pictures though, you love wildlife just like I do, couldn't be without it.
Congratulations on the book, I will go out and get it!!!!
That is the cutest picture of the squirrel waiting for a treat. We have four or five here that seem to live in harmony with our cats thankfully. We go through bags of peanuts like crazy!
We're are getting hit with lots of rain today. My yard man is out there spreading mulch, my neighbors are going to think I am a slave driver but I told him not to do it if it was raining. He said he has good rain gear and likes to keep busy so I guess I shouldn't worry.
Take care Miss Renie, have a wonderful weekend! xoxoxox
Great pictures, Renie!!! I love Fred!!!! My cats sleep on their backs like, too. Don't you just love how comfy they look? LOL
Congrats on the new book!!! I haven't been to the bookstore to get it yet but plan to do so soon! Dying to read your story!!! I know it is the best one in the book! I loved your story when you came over on the ship...you are one talented writer, Renie!!!
I thought the mystery critter was a muskrat! LOL But a raccoon is much cuter!!! And that dear little fawn really IS sticking close to its mama!!! LOL And I love how the squirrels lay on their little bellies like that! Ours used to lay in the cool dirt in my flower pots. I'm sure the heat gets to them, too, just like it does us.
Loved your Wordless Wednesday post! I should start doing one since I don't have much time these days for writing new posts. (That Farm Town on FB is taking up all my spare time! LOL)
Love you, Renie!!! ((( HUGS )))
Good evening, Renie,
In answer to your question: Do I have 2500 of Leo's photographs? No I don't another niece has that many, I only have maybe 200 or so, I never really counted how many of his photographs I have. If you ever watched the video about him, The woman named Maxine has the collection that contains 2500. I hope that made sense, anyway have a nice evening of what is left of it.
Say good night Gracie! ;) Ann
Fred certainly does look comfortable and that squirrel is so trusting. I don't have one around here that would take a snooze on my deck rail, of course my puppies would bark their heads off at it if it did.
Im not sure what your mystery critter is. I don't know what lives in your neck of the woods.
Do tell!
I will be looking for the new book. I always love reading about your experiences Renie. You are an excellent writer and have had some unbelievable experiences to write about.
God bless you dear and have a wonderful week end.
Lots of wildlife from your house, Renie.... Love that kittie sleeping on your bed....
Congratulations on your article in "Chicken Soup for the Soul".... Where can I get a copy? Have a great week.
I came back to see if you told us yet what the mystery critter is. ??? Also, our dog has been going crazy over one small section of our woods and finally yesterday Ron saw why. We have a new fawn and it's mother hiding back in there.
Congratulations with your story which is placed in the newest Chicken Soup for the Soul! I forget to do that last week. I've just returned from France.
What a happy kitty and the squirrel picture is pricelss. Would your mystery friend be a groundhog? Thank you for sharing with us. Congratulations on your article.
Thanks for your comment on the Wheel! No I didn't speak up, but I sat next to a Canadian tourist and I said to him that my daughter had drawn part of the wheel as she was then a draughtsman at the factory that produced the wheel in Holland.
Reader Wil said...
Hi Renie! Thanks for your visit. I always enjoy seeing you on my blog.
A few days ago I heard from my French/Dutch friends that the nestlings became fledglings and left the nest. Now that's fast, isn't it?!
