A Little Beebopping and an Award

After a chilly start to the week, our Wednesday was sunny and in the mid-70s. So, after my Wednesday Chinese Buffet day, I came home and changed into my bee-bopping clothes, grabbed my cellphone and my sturdy walking stick, and off the dogs and I went to visit the little creek that lives in my woods.

Since these woods are quite hilly, I figured the workout of walking them would help get rid off any excess calories from my meal. Besides, I hadn't been there since last Fall; it was time to find out if Spring had sprung yet along the little creek where little wildflowers like to grow.

It is just a tiny, meandering creek, but I love it and was glad to see that there were a few wildflowers already growing along the bank.
There were some white beauties there.

And some lovely blue ones.
And sparkling yellows, too.

And there was a turtle enjoying the sunshine on his bed of rocks.

Of course, Sid enjoyed a dip in the creek, before we headed back to the house, refreshed by the visit to the little creek, and thankful that there is still much beauty to enjoy in these woods, after our destructive ice storm. I'll be visiting the little creek again, very soon!

And blogging friend Linda of This and That Diary gave me this beautiful award recently. Thank you so much Linda. It is perfect for the Easter Season. And I would love to pass it on to all my dear blogging friends.

Happy Easter! Happy Passover ! Happy Spring, everyone!

Blessings from the woods!

That was fun... I'd go beebopping with you anytime... that's just the kind of walk I'd like to take...glad the turtle was the only wild animal you showed us... Deborah Wilson had that snake on her walk...ugh... that's the thing that keeps me out of the woods in spring and summer...

Congrats on your award.

Hope you have a Happy Easter!!

That must have been a very enjoyable walk with your dogs. We go tomorrow for our Chinese fix. LOL I to love the buffet that way you can sample things you wouldn't usually try, but the place we're going to you just order a luncheon special from their menu. As long as I can get my Hot Sour Soup, I'll be just fine.

Congratulations on your award. Hope you have a wonderful Easter.

Oh, Renie the walk and the pictures were great. I love Chinese Food, but it doesn't always like me. Most of the time after I eat Chinese food I feel a bit sick for about two or three hours, but I still occasionally eat it because I love it so much. I'm glad you can eat it each week without any ill effects.

That creek is really a sight of Nature's beauty! I can't blame Sid much for wanting to wade in it! It just looks so peaceful! Wish I could have been there in person to go with you! But I do feel like I was there with you just from your sharing these great pics with all of us! Check out my new post and the big dog we saw Monday while at the oncologist's with my daughter's 2 cats. 206 pound dog!!! And he'd lost weight! ha-ha

Congrats on the lovely award! I will be so happy to place it on my sidebar! Thank you so much, Renie!

A very Happy Blessed Easter to you!

Hope you have a lovely Easter Renie and enjoy some fine warm weather.

I love the idea of your Wednesday Chinese Buffets. If I went for one of these every week they'd have to carry me home!

Those pictures were lovely, how marvellous to see a little turtle.

Oh Renie,

What a wonderful trek to your little creek. It made me homesick for my youth in Pennsylvania.

Have a wonderful Easter season. You are just a joy to me.

What a lovely walk and so many flowers blooming already! I am so anxious for things to bloom, have a few daffodils coming up but nothing has bloomed as yet. Looks like your dog had a great time with you. I love walking in the woods down by the stream. Of course right now it is so muddy I would get stuck and they would never hear from me again! lol! My friend Ann lost her shoe off in the mud yesterday and I had to retrieve it for her.

Yes, I am still going to feed the deer. I have lived here almost 20 years and longer then anyone else on my street so I don't pay too much attention to these things. I just think it is rather cowardly to send an unsigned letter. I know the problem, they don't want the hungry deer to munch on their shrubs. Plant the kind that they don't like if that is a problem or put some netting over them. That's what some of the people do. We're going to have deer here whether we feed them or not as we live in the woods. Okay, rant over! lol!

Have a wonderful weekend my friend and thank you for passing along such a nice award to us. Yes, it is perfect for the Easter season!!! xoxoxox

Hello Renie and a very happy Resurrection day to you.
I love your pictures. And the sweet little wild flowers are just precious.
I enjoy walks by the water too and like you my camera goes with me.

I pray you are well and the winters destruction has not left you with too much clean up.
God bless you and yours.

Such, pristine and beauty on your walk. I do so love the photo shares you've put on your blog post. Especially the wild violet. That was one of my mom's favorite flowers of spring.

Good Evening Renie,

In answer to your question, "Who took the picture?" It was Leo Beachy. For quite a few weeks I will be posting some of his pictures taken in the early 1900s.

Well, I hope Steve-O goes tonight on Dancing with the stars.

Sounds like a great way to exercise and enjoy nature.
